The Wigwam complex was home to the second largest high school gym in the nation and was the center of attraction for the greater Madison County community, especially for hosting Anderson High School basketball games. The vision for its new role includes hosting a diverse array of sports, community activities, health opportunities, and workforce education and training.

Anderson, Indiana is a community in the midst of revitalization. At the center of it all, the Wigwam facility—once a world-famous sports complex and second largest gym in the world—stands poised to serve as the centerpiece for the community's rebirth. This piece highlights the history while casting a vision for a brighter future.
A 4-story apartment building of studio and one-bedroom units with certified staff on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Services include financial literacy training, estate and elder care planning, and a community room. Transportation is also free and available to residents.
This 44-unit apartment opened in early 2019.
Residents will be able to enjoy a variety of services and amenties within the building and complex. Meridian Health Services is the service provider, and seeks to connect our residents with vital services, such as Social Security and Medical services. A Meridian Health Services office will be located in the clubhouse.
Young people, adults, and seniors will have the opportunity to learn, work, and excel with training at the Talent & Development center. With a vision to strengthen the workforce, the Wigwam seeks to be the catalyst for job creation.
In addition to job training, community members will have access to the Jane Pauley Community Center, Visual & Performing Arts Center, and Culinary Center.
